Down in D.C.

We had SO much fun in Dallas City. Uncle Nathan taught me how to play the drums, I really like him. He gave me lots and lots of kisses, just like he promised.

Then Asher tried to teach me how to play the piano. Daddy promised me that he and I will be taking piano lessons when I turn four. I am so excited. Grandma and Grandpa bought a pool. I played in it with all of my cousins. They shared their BIG floats with me too! I love my cousins so much!

We went to my Dad's cousin's wedding. Jacki looked like a princess and Chris looked very handsome. I had such a good time there with my family. Uncle Ed played with me a whole bunch. I just love spending time with my Grandma and Grandpa too.

Oh, I also saw some cows. They are SO big. I held on tight to my daddy! Now that I am on the move you never know where I will be. Tonight I decided to climb under my exersaucer to get some cheerios I left there earlier.
I tried to hide from mom and dad in the curtains. I thought that if I just got my front behind the curtain they wouldn't see the rest of me since I am in camouflage pants.

Getting Ready to see the folks in D.C.

First, I practiced hiding, so I would be good at playing hide and seek with my cousins.Second, I asked Daddy to read to me so that I can sit through a book when my aunts read to me. (hint hint)


Third, I ran through a picture book to practice the names of my "Dallas" family memebers.
Last, I also practiced eating things because I heard we are having some tasty food while I am visiting Grandma and Grandpa.

Ok, I know it was almost a week ago, but we've been busy this past week. Mommy and I took some pictures for daddy on his special day. Mommy promised me I could eat some of the papers after we were finished...that's how she got me to sit so long. I'm still waiting for those papers though. All she's been giving me is Cheerios and frozen peas.

Two Firsts!

This past week, I had two firsts! My first first (is that right?) is that I'm learning to drink out of a sippy cup. I get a lot of it on my shirt, but I manage to drink some of it. I need lots of water now that I'm eating a lot of Cheerios. My second first is that I went swimming for the first time at my Aunt Patti's pool in deep water. Mom, dad, and Aunt Patti had a lot of fun with me, and I had fun with them too! Mom rubbed a lot of lotion on me beforehand because she says I have delicate skin. I don't know what that means but it sure smelled good. Afterwards, I was so tired I went to bed early. Who knew how tiring it can be to float in a pool?

Splish Splash Tessa had a blast!

I had such a good time Swimming last night. Mommy swam too while Daddy took pictures. We swam for almost a half hour. The water wasn't even that cold. Thank goodness. Overall, I have to say, Swimming is one of my favorite sports. I bet Aunt Jenoa will like the sounds of that. =)

I have been getting really big and doing a lot more this past month. I am eating Stage 2 foods and my favorites are plums, bananas, and macaroni and cheese. I also love cheerios. I am teething, which hurts a lot. I have one tooth poking through and another one on the way. I also have learned to drink from a sipping cup. I tend to get a lot of water down my shirt though. Rolling around the room and making sounds are my two favorite things to do. Crawling is my next challenge. I have mastered getting up on my knees and either do a nose dive or scoot backwards. I know with a little determination I will be crawling by June... well, maybe the middle of June. Love you all.. mwah!

My new friend Parker

This past weekend Mommy and Daddy had to find a babysitter for me other than family. They decided it was time for me to start dating. So, they called up Ms. Stacy and asked if Parker wouldn't mind a play date. Mom even let me put a little bit of her special perfume on me. I really enjoyed playing with Parker, he is so smart, I know that we will make a wonderful couple. However, he is a little more advanced than me... he is already walking. Wow, that is really neat. I am going to learn a few things from this boy.

I went so fast you didn't even see me move!

Things have been extremely busy around here. I went to my new friend Parker's house to play while Mom and Dad went out with some family. Then I went to a BIG infant play room at Lifetime. Mom and Dad got a membership there to keep in shape.. they told me it may also help me stay social. I had so much fun. Sunday, Grandma babysat me all day while Mom and Dad went to a play that Uncle Billy and Ashley were in. I heard it was awesome! I also went to the BIG play room again today and made a new friend named Melanie. After that, I came home, I took a bath and went to bed. I am one busy girl. Mom said all this week I am going to spend time in the BIG playroom. I sure hope Melanie is there again.

I love being outside! Today was so much fun.. I got to spoil my Mommy. Daddy and I spent sometime making my Mom a card and making her breakfast in bed. Then we went to my Aunt Lori's house and had hot dogs and lots of other goodies. I ate cheerios. We also played a game called Cranium. That was so much fun. There were four teams. I think I played on all four teams at some point in the game. My Daddy's team won it all. He is super smart!

What does Grandma, cookies, and car all have in common?

They all happened this week. First, I had some baby cookies and LOVED them. Second, Grandma turned 66 years young! Happy Birthday Grandma!Last, Mommy's car was stolen, wrecked and they stole MY diaper bag.. bummer =( They stole the car out of our driveway (mom left the keys in the middle console, shame on her), took it for a spin, and then hit a pole, left it running and took my bag. They didn't even take mom's credit cards. hm... something is fishy here.
